water temp vs idle speed?
my current FD came with a powerFC and datalogit tuned by the previous owner. I couldn't connect to my win10 laptop until today when I got my new USB/serial converter. woohoo!!!
one of the things I wanted to change in the map was the coolant temp vs idle speed, as the engine does not idle up at all when I start it cold.
it idles perfectly at 800rpm. I want it to idle at ~1200rpm cold, then drop down to 800 when warm.
I see that powerFC has a strangely SIMPLE/basic idle control section with 3 settings, and water temp vs idle speed is not one of them.
surely there is a way to do this without clearing out the PFC map and doing the "Re-learn idle" thing. right?

Yes the hot wax rod unit works but is not a PFC control.
Many of us power freaks have removed it as it heats up the TB and the attaching part of the UIM.
Also removing it allows for making both sides of the main throttle plate symmetrical and reduces turbulence.

Indeed, I've removed that on just about every FD I've worked on over the years.
Jacob--- just run your A/C when the car is warming up. Or have Jeffy sit down and hold the throttle a bit with his paws
