Using the Power FC to add more boost to a stock internall engine.

Now I apologize I KNOW this must have been asked before again and again and again.. but my searching skills suck because I couldnt find what I was looking for ..

Now I dont have my power FC yet. I ordered it .

My car will have a straight through exhaust with a downpipe , apexi intakes , and stock twins . I want to keep the stock twins I'm porting out the waste gate .

I will also be running the BOV to atmosphere .. YES ONLY FOR the SOUND ( I was told this made the car run rich ) which to be honest I dont think is all that bad since I wanted to raise the boost to 12 /13psi from the stock 10 , and have a little safety margin incase of boost creep since the stock engine i hear can take up til 15 .

I read the FAQ about hte Power FC .. but I'm still in the dark on alot of things .

I will only have the commander but have limited access to a datalogic ( neighboring town ) so if I can do it using only the commander all the better..

What would I need to do to my power FC so that it will give the required fuel for 12 PSI ? and like I said a safety margin for boost creep .

and I imagine this has been asked a billion times .. so if you know of a thread where this topic has been discussed beforehand a link to it would be amazing

Good. Porting the wastegate is smart.

The running rich thing is for cars that have an airflow sensor. The Power FC does not use an airflow sensor.

I will only have the commander but have limited access to a datalogic ( neighboring town ) so if I can do it using only the commander all the better..

Not having regular access to a Datalogit could be a limiting factor for you because you don't have access to all the maps and tables inside the computer. You also can't save and load maps without it.

You should rewire your fuel pump. That will help with the safety factor. You will also need a wideband A/F meter, preferably one installed in the car so you can view it regularly (as opposed to just getting a reading at a dyno day)

TY for all the advice I well the motor I bought didn't come with an o2 sensor , so I purchaseda wideband AEM eugo at that because everyone kept saying how great they were. and today it arrived I was going to read up on it . and haven't read many great things .. so I guess I have a couple questions reguarding this .. .

the fact that my car does NOT have an o2 sensor will it affect the power FC ? or is the o2 sensor , concidered one of those " air flow sensors " you say the Power FC does not use?

turn off O2 feedback (a very common thing to do) and not having a stock o2 sensor won't matter

the motor doesnt come with 02 sensor, 02 sensor is part of the exhaust system is installed in the downpipe, also i believe you can only turn off 02 feedback on the pfc with the datalogit box,

also thats good you got the wideband sensor, you can also hook it up to your pfc but only thru the use of the datalogit box.

You can turn off O2 feedback with the etc --> function select screen on the Commander. The old Commanders (with the 80s Gameboy screen) have funky Japanese characters, while the new oLED screen just says "YES" or "NO"

I have a question about the power FC's boost controller , how does itwork?

I know it has a fuel cut after the set limit you can adjust with the commander I have it set at 80. , 75.

But will this make it so that the wastegate Not dump the exhaust out at 10 psi if I wanted to run 12?

does the power FC somehow control when the wastegate opens up . or is that solely done by he restriction pills ?
