Unhappy Used Datalogit and E-Group Registration Problem

I purchased a used datalogit from another forum member about a month ago and emailed Glenn at FC-Datalogit to register for their e-group discussion forum. Glenn replied to my original email stating that the unit(serial #) is already registered to someone else. I explained to him that it was purchased second hand and I provided the previous(original) owner's information, but he hasn't replied since. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem with used datalogit purchase. I really want to learn from the "owners" only forum before I start messing with datalogging and tuning.

Why not ask the previous owner of his login ID and password until it gets resolved.

If you brought your FC-Datalogit second hand then it's a little more difficult. Go to the buy now page and down the bottom is a button to register a used unit. Send us US$ 20. Don't forget to put your Full Name, FC-Box serial number and where you brought it from on the PayPal form. We will register your unit and send you an invitation to the user group ASAP if the unit wasn't registered by the previous owner. If it is registered we will have to email the previous owner and make sure they sold it. Once we hear from them we will register your unit and send you an invitation to the user group ASAP.

Thanks for the info!! It really sucks that they charge for 2nd hand unit registration, but I guess I have no other choice...

Not that it's any of my bussines, but if the unit was bot used from someone else, registered already, I don't see a need to re-register and pay the fee again, why not just transfer the account to the new user.?
