Trouble keeping car started after PFC install???
Just installed my new PowerFC yesterday and after I put everything in I went to turn the car on. I flipped the key, and started the car up.....RPM's came up a little to about 2500...steady...steady...then they just dropped off and the car died.
So, I have to hold the throttle on startup to keep the revs up for a minute, then everything will be fine.
Also another thing I noticed is now when moving from a stop, I have to give it a lot more gas, it feels like the car wants to die if I'm light on the clutch....
Could this just be from how it was tuned?

It sounds like it. Also double check to make sure you cut the right 4 wires, the picture they have took me a 1/2 hour to figure out which way is was looking at it. My PFC that I bought it a group buy back in October dropped right in and the car started and ran like it was the original computer.

I haven't cut any wires, I was told by the tuning shop that they have never cut their wires and have never had any problems like that. Besides, it seems everyone complains about a funky idle before they cut their wires, my wires are still there and I get an 850rpm idle.
This only happens after the car has sat for a little bit, when it's warm there is no problem, but when I start it up in the morning of after work, the car just dies, it's really strange. It doesn't even struggle to stay running, it's like *turn key* braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..aaa.aaa.aa.aa.aa.a.a..... the rpm's just slowly dwindle away, no struggle to keep them up, no fluctuating....weird.
Oh well, it's not that I mind, I'm just wondering why it is doing this.
Could it be my plugs? It's tuned to use 11.5R plugs and I'm running 9's temporarily(until I get my new ones)...could that be affecting the startup?

I would have thought you would have this kind of trouble with the cold plugs, not the hot ones. I don't know, I'm not that serious yet. If you bought it directly from a shop that tuned it for you, they should be able to help you out on this.

Rotary Master
I ran my car for a year without cutting the wires, and when ever you try to restart the car, it would freak out on the revs and jump erratically. Cutting the wires fixed this. Acutally I cut the pins, so I didn't have to resplice the wires when switching computers. If you have not cut your wires, just cut the pins it is worth it.
As for the orginal question, have you given the computer a chance to learn your car? It takes a couple of days and each car takes to the computer a little differently, especially with mods to it.

fart on a friends head!!!
make sure your pim settings are correct. i had some major problems with starting my car cause my pim was set to "option 1" instead of "normal". clean your plugs.
