Is there a way to set or program the PFC to help prevent vehicle theft?

Since the PFC is a standalone and you can alter settings using the commander, I was wondering if it is possible to change some settings to prevent someone from driving off with your car? Maybe set it so it won't start (no fuel or ignition) or something like that? I don't have a Power FC so I'm no sure what it is capable of, just wondering if I can use it as an extra layer in theft prevention since it controls the engine.

You can set the rev limit to 1500 rpm and then hide or remove the commander just in case the theif knows the PFC inside and out. They might start the car but it will stumble as soon as they hit the accelerator, would be very tough for them to figure out and impossible to drive off.

This is not fun as it will take a minute or two to change the rev limit, not too bad tho as it facilitates warm-up and cool down which some prescribe to.

Or you should be able to set the idle down so low that it stalls. Or you could set Idle above the Rev limiter.

Both could be tied to the AC button, if you don't want to use your AC.

Explain this. I'm very new to the PFC and I'm not sure what it's capabilities are compared to the AEM.

There's a screen in the settings pages where you have Fuel Cut normal, fuel cut when there's an electrical load, and fuel cut when the AC is on. Then there's the same for your idle settings. So you could screw up your AC settings (sett fuel cut less than your idle setting for example) so when you turn your AC on, it should theoretically stall it out. Heard of others doing this but I've never tried it myself. Of course that's all probably useless if you live in Las Vegas since I assume you're going to want an air conditioner there....

Might be easier just to wire in a switch to your fuel pump. Used that trick on one of my other cars...
