Question Temps when running A/C

For those who still have A/C, what max water and air temps do you see when running it? TIA.

Thanks Tim. I think our setups are almost identical, so that would be an equal comparison. BTW, you going to Zoom-Fest next month?

Don,

I'll try to give you some numbers on saturday. I have the car up on jackstands, replacing my toe links for my front saw bar. But replaced the plugs and gave it a clean up while I was under it. I'll just drive around with my A/C on, stop in go traffic and 95 degree temps outside should give you a good idea on my car. is zoom fest at road atlanta?

Tim

Thanks Tim. That's about the same conditions around here too.

What, you mean you don't know? The person that got me interested in rotary cars has fallen that far out of the loop of things? This event is right across the way from you so you better be at this or I'll have mean things to say about you... j/k

Make that Sunday Don on the numbers as I'll be driving to my parents for father's day cookout. Nothing like being under the car on a saturday night tinkering again...felt like old times and Ive got the cut knuckles to prove it
As far as Zoom fest, I posted in the forum here and on their forum about the 3 20 mins track sessions on Sunday to see if that was still an option since i didn't see it on the payment page.

Don,
Here's my temps.
Left to go to my parents house about 30 miles away. First 12 miles, straight crusing with a couple of boosted runs in 3rd gear..very short so mainly car was under vacuum 98% -
the A/C was on max but on fan level 1
outside ambient temp was about 88F
after the 12 miles - water temp max was 86C
air temp max was 44C
then I did about 4 miles of stop and go traffic in a small town.
after the 4 miles max water was 90C
max air was 50C
then the rest of the drive was crusing again for 14 miles doing about 60 ot 65
water temps dropped to about 88C
air temps dropped to about 47C by the time I got to their house.

recap

ambient 88F
max water during stop and go was 90C
max air during stop and go was 50C

on the return trip home

ambient was about 92 or 93 F
max water was 92C
max air was 51C

Hope that helps you guage your car temps.

Tim

Thanks Tim. Temps are nearly dead on to what I'm getting except my air temps are slightly higher (still need to make a duct). Mine will hit 94c and then drop almost instantly to 92.

Nothing beats a good FMIC with excellant custom ventilation backed up by a Koyo "N Pass" radiator.
