Tech Edge 2.0

Well, I got my new wbo2 sensor all installed in the car. It's the new Tech Edge 2.0 with the Bosch LSU4 sensor.

Don't ask me too many questions though, I did get it wired to the datalogit, but I cheated using the Simulated Vout wire which matches the 1.5 units Vout so I could use Badog's #'s...

I hope he get's his unit soon so I can switch wires to the Linear Wideband and still use the display (pretty numbers...)

I also got a wonderful gift I need to install. A Mallory HyFire VI 6852M for my leading coil...I just feel fast holding the box...

Ok, so if I use the Vout (which is only 10 bit accuracy) I understand that I can use Badog's #'s in FC Edit like so:

______________________________________
In the FC-Edit software, goto SETUP, then AUX.
You want to click on the "Poly" box for AN1-AN2.

a=1.6344
b=-2.1693 (note that is a negative number)
c=9.9414

Click in the checkbox for "Delta AN1-AN2"
______________________________________

But, if I use the linear wide-band output (12 bit accuracy) shouldn't I remove any numbers from the "Poly" box (a, b, c) and uncheck "Delta AN1-AN2"?

Than I would create an Excel spreadsheet with the formula =(2X + 9) (with x being the cell number) and paste in my more accurate 12 bit numbers?

Part 1---Yes- the 10 bit is equivalent to the WB1.0 and 1.5 outputs and therefore requires a poly.

Part 2(a) Yes---remove the poly #s and just insert 0 volts - 9 AFR and 5 volts = 19 AFR

Part 2(b) No--- keep the Delta-- connect WBLin to AN1 and connect GRND to AN2- The Delta corrects for floating ground issues.

Part 2(c) The excel spreadsheet will be OK for WB delta as is, It is processed by the datalogit for you.

Hey Guys,

Any advice for installing the TE unit? I'm thinking about various cable routing and bung placement. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

-ch

Although not recommended, my sensor has been in the A'pexi RX-6 single aftermarket downpipe bung for over 8 months with no deterioration in accuracy. You should also know that my sensor is an L1H1 that I got used from a Civic VX that had 70K miles on it when it was salvaged. I route the cable through the firewall-(large grommet below the ABS) and into the glove box. I have the WB unit in the glovebox with cables out to the dash display (5301) and an extra serial cable for datalogging.

Other suggestions are somewhere along the DP at least 10 inches from the turbo but before the MP or cat. Make sure the Sensor is perpendicular to the exhaust flow and oriented with the wire end upward or at least nothing less than 10 degrees up from horizontal to the ground. Wiring has been accomplished through the large grommet under the passenger seat and placing the WB under the seat also.
