Street port, DP and CB. Should I get a Pettit ECU or PFC??

I have a rebuilt street ported PFSC motor with a down pipe, high flow cat and a racing beat cat back. Should I get a Pettit ECU or a PFC?? I can get a Pettit for about $700 and the Power FC for around $1000. I've been told not to mess with the PFC but I do want to get an intake soon also, will the Pettit handle it?? Please help.
I've searched the boards already but want some specific answers.

Thanks in advance!!

The Pettit will work just fine, and you can get it for a lot cheaper than $700. I sold mine for $425 after I got my Power FC. Of course, you'd have to find one that's been mapped for mods very close to your's. I would not own a Power FC without the Commander, which will add another $300 to the price you quoted.

It all depends on how much you want to spend and how much control you want to have.

I have the same mods: Streetport, downpipe and catback. I just bought the Power FC and want to find out if the base map or the base mod map would be alright to use with these mods?
