Stock FD: PFC First Step Mod
Hey guys. I'm heading back to the states in August and I'm picking up my car on the way. I was gonna order some stuff for it and have it shipped to my uncle and friend's houses so that I can have it there by the time I arrive. I wasn't going to order any heavy stuff to risk having to haul it on the road trip from Ohio to the coast, but I'd like to get a PFC for it since I wouldn't be switching out an exhaust system or anything to install it. I'm confused by how they do it in the states since the cars run on different octane fuel. I know SR offers the PFC with a pre-programmed deal for your car but it is more expensive than if I buy it from rx7store.net. I'm planning to buy the commander with the unit so I can do the programming myself on future mods, but I'd like to know what I should do about getting the unit so that I can install it without doing any stuff that could cause a delay on my road trip. Does the unit come pre-programmed everywhere, or would it be much easier for me to pay SR to do it for me rather than do it myself? Thanks for the help.
