Started the tuning of my PFC and T88,gotta question though !!
I have 850 primaries and 1200 secondaries.
Without doing any tuning to the power fc the car ran like complete *** okay.Way too much fuel.So much fuel that when I got to about 4700 rpm's the motor would just fall on its face from being way too rich.I could only get .80 bar of boost out of it as well.I need like 20 psi.
So I read here and also Ray Lochead told me you can take out some fuel with the PIM so I was like okay great.I get out today for a drive and take out some fuel in increments from the PIM.It was set at 100% to begin with and be the time I ended up fooling around it's setting at 89% and it's actually getting up to about 6G rpm's before cutting out and I can get 1.2 bar of boost now.I wanted to check with everyone before I start taking out more fuel.My J&S isnt going off,my ETG gauge isnt going past 500 so is this ok to take out re fuel?
What do you guys recomend?

I hope you have an upgraded MAP sensor!
Ive heard the pOwer Fc runs like *** over 14.7psi regardless of any variables
And for your monster setup id go with 1600's and keep that injector duty down!

heres the boost controll verdect strait from the man
Len,
If you want to run more than 17 lbs with the Power FC, there are several ways to do it. One way is to purchase the Boost Control Kit. By using the BCC, this will give you the ability to run up to 29.4 lbs, but not the capacity. What I mean is that although the fuel injection's MAP sensor can read up to 29.4 lbs., the maps inside of the Power FC only support up to 20lbs. You will still need to visit a Power Excel shop with the software to change the maps to read up to 29.4 lbs. At the moment, only XS Engineering has the software as they have been trained directly by our Japanese engineers. Other Power Excel shops will have access to the software sometime next year. The other way is to take your car to a Power Excel shop (with the software once again) and they can install the Apex 3bar MAP sensor directly into your engine harness. The third way to do it is to have a Power Excel shop make a custom program using any MAP sensor they offer. This could be a GM, Motec 6bar, Toyota, etc.
Contact a Power Excel shop if you want to purchase a BCC. We do not sell direct to the public.
The Haltech is a great system, but it's a little behind as far as performance capabilities. If you're into tuning your engine yourself, you want data logging capabilities, you don't mind tearing your factory engine harness apart, and you don't mind not being able to put the car back to stock without buying a new factory engine harness, then the Haltech is for you. If you don't mind paying a quality shop for proper tuning and installation (a whole 5 minutes), then the Power FC is for you.

the stock map sensor cant *see* boost above 17.5 psi...so it will be dumpin the same fuel in a 17psi and @ 20-22psi or however much your runnin. i dunknow abt u but 150+ part for xs to tune or 400 for the bcc is way cheaper than a engine and re-buildin a turbo...but its your $$
hope that helped

Eric,
With such a bad *** 7 you must already know about XS. For $150 you can mail your P-Fc to them with a letter describing your setup and they will provide some maps to "get you close". Call them, they are cool enough.
After that, dyno it dude.
I know this is all old news but I'll tell ya I thought I could do a little "tuning" with mine.....that was on motor #2, #3 was bad out of the box, #4 is getting a new pan installed, by Thursday my PFC will be head of your on the bench at XS waiting
.
Don't blow your motor. Just send it to XS. Even if you had dyno time, they will give you a better starting point. I don't think this "tuning feature" on the PFC is all that usefull with out wide band O2 sensor support.
Ok enough old news. Good luck, smoke a viper for me!
