SPO XS Maps

Stephen,

XS tuned my PFC for mods identical to yours, and for boost up to 15 PSI (if it matters). Our maps are not identical. I was waiting to post them until I get the Datalogit so I can post the base fuel as well. Anyway

For IGL, your maps are retarded 1 degree more than mine for almost all cells in rows P17-P20.

For IGT, your maps are retarded 5 degrees on average more than mine for cell in rows P17-P20.

I have corrected the negative split areas you have by retarding IGT appropriately.

I have no idea about the primary injector lag time correction. Setting it back to 0 improved idle but I had to adjust acceleration enrichment.

Although I requested sequential control, the unit came with sequential control disabled. I don't think that would explain the differences. Do you know what technician programmed yours?

Just another data point,
Alan

Its been a while so I cant remember which tech it was but I would think they have a pool of maps and all the techs would use the same ones. Just to make sure we have the same mods.......

I have streetport, intake, full exhaust, SMIC similar to M2 med, 1200sec, upgraded fuel pump, I told them I wanted to run 15-16psi of boost but they said they would prefer to keep it at 14 without having the car present. Maybe they have run into probs since yours that made them decide to be more conservative. I'm not sure why they are different.

Do you have any ignition mods? I'm running the stock ignition system.

Yep, mods affecting fuel/air flow:

Intake
CWR IC
Supra fuel pump
1300 cc secondaries (shouldn't be different from 1200 IGN programming)
street port
downpipe
midpipe
catback

No ignition mods (other than magnacore wires which I did not tell them)

The guy that did mine was Koji. It will be interesting to see how the base maps compare.

Mine was programmed about 2 months ago. Perhaps they tuned another similar car between then and when you had yours done and liked the later results better so they now sell the maps I have?

Thats very interesting.....I've had mine done within 2 months as well. I sent mine around mid Nov or so. Thats very unusual, was everything else the same? I will say one thing about it though that dissapointed me a little. When they asked how much boost I wanted I told them 15-16psi and they said they didnt like going over 14 anymore without the car present.......maybe somone blew up a motor and they decided to be more conservative with thier maps that go out via mail.

Its very interesting, would it be hard to write down all the differences between your and mine? I might call and ask them about it.

Thanks,
STEPHEN
