Single Turbo---PFC Check Engine Light

Since all but four wires going to the ECU are used, (or at least still plugged in) will you get a check engine light if you remove the now useless solenoids?

If so what wattage resistor is required? It seems I've read in a post some where to use a 300 ohm 1/2 watt; yet when checking resistance across the solenoid coil, it is on average 32 ohms.

The PowerFC could care less about the various emissions solenoids. As long as none of the key sensors (TPS, CAS, water temp, etc.) are bad, it's all happy with it.

As Dale said, you no longer need resistors for removed solenoids. The PFC does not use the check engine light to indicate codes, it uses it to warn about high knock readings. It also uses your exhaust overheat light to warn about missing/bad sensor data.

My check engine light does not come on anymore when I turn the key.
I just installed my new PowerFC. Is that normal?
