okay so i plugged in my laptop to my datalogit to my commander and controler. found that the only com that worked was com3. pushed read all and says cannot find interface. and the next popup is read-all error 78. i hope someone can help .

info that might pertain to this is when xs put a break-in tune on my commander they locked my controler... and i have no idea how to unlock. ?!?!

 

Error 78 means that he can not read packet 78 from the PC, which is a part of the leading ignition map. But packet 78 is not the first that will be read, so before the error other packets have succefuly been read.

Are you using a USB to Serial converter?

 

no, i'm using just the basic serial cable :/

 

well, i don't know what caused it but I fixed the problem by reformating my laptop. always good to do that everyonce in a while.
