Q, wires to cut

I have the diagram but not all the wire colors match (some do) and I realize that the diagram has errors. So, can I just use it to find the correct wires by location instead of color? Will that be accurate? How can I make sure my FC is for US cars? Does someone have the serial number(s) for US models? Mine say 415 Z002 on one side.

I Just got an 415-Z002 by ebay for my fd3s 93. Can you tell me for which car and year this model is made for?? Sorry the serial # was removed.
