Problems with datalogit

No matter what I do I can't seem to get the numbers correct for the polynominal. I found a formula I believe on the yahoo group but due to my poor math skills I couldn't solve it. Anyone help me please?

Also the newest version totally freezes my laptop 50% of the time causing me to have to remove the battery AND when trying to log data its 50-50 whether it will actually track the data through the cells like it should.

The people who market this software are completely worthless, any direct answers is great and if I missed something in searching just point me to it please

First you need to tell us which WB you have as many have different outputs curves.

I have the old DL, and recording performance has to do with how your laptop is setup (remove unneeded services), and how many of the DL paramaters you are recording. Only record what is needed for the current test.

Maybe your USB setup isn 't good.

Its a PLX M200.

The laptop is plenty powerful enough and the program (FC Edit) freezes without being hooked up to the USB. Very frustrating problem, makes me wish I had bought a Haltech when I had the chance.

I have heard the beige box is the better performing DL.

I connect everthing to the laptop and DL and PFC before turning on the lap top.
Bring up the DL sofware, then start the engine. I use the proven beige box.

PLX M200, OK. I have been using the M300 for a few years and it's 0-5v for 10-20 AFR is linear and is a piece of cake to setup.

Did you read page 30 of the DL manual?
0 volts = 10 AFR
5 volts = 20 AFR
X is voltage
Y is AFR
Y = AX^2 + BX + C

Just plug the simple data in and the DL computes the poly for you, mine does because it is linear and the poly does not need changing.
Being linear, there are no A or C values.

A = 0
C = 0

Thus you have Y = BX
10(afr) = B5(v)
20(afr) = B10(v)

What is B ?

HOws that old saying go? "better to keep your mouth shut and let people think your an idiot than say something to confirm it"

That said I guess B=2?

So AN1 should read :

Volts Value Unit
0 0 A/F
5 10 -

AN2 reads the exact same except Unit is "V"

I did read the manual but as stated before I really have math issues. If I could really understand this on my own that would be great because I feel pretty stupid having to ask for help to do this simple thing.

I do appreciate the help

No, me stupid because I can't even read my own handwriting!

Messed up the C

C = 10

Y = 2(V) + 10

2*0 + 10 = 10
2*5 + 10 = 20
