Power FC's capabilities
I just want to know if I get a power FC does that eliminate the use of all the stock solenoids. Like the fuel pressure solenoid. That is what's wrong with my car right now, the fuel pressure solenoid broke and I was going to get PFC here soon anyways. I just want to know if I still have to fix the solenoid when I get the Power FC. God I hope not, thanks guys.
Just get a used solenoid from someone on the forum. People are selling them all the time. Most of the solenoids are interchangable. Either that or just get a new one from Mazda (from www.mazdaformance.com or Malloy Mazda), they're not that expensive.
If you remove the FPR solenoid, you will problems with hot-starting the car. The PFC uses the stock solenoids to run the car. It doesn't magically perform the functions of the solenoids without them there.....

The fuel pressure solenoid is another piece of useless
junk that Mazda placed on the car.
Most modded and single turbo cars do not use it.
I have not used it for two years and Houston heat is no problem when starting. Run the FPR pressure hose directly down to the fitting on the base of the LIM.
It does not have any useful functionality. If you read what the manual describes about it, it would only make sense with a pump that pulls and only if it got hot. Ours is in the gas tank and pushes. How can we have vapor lock?

You know Chuck, your point makes me laugh. "Our pump pushes not pulls." Guess I never thought about it but you are right. Once again got to wonder what those engineers were thinking.
Yea, I am still alive and kicking, just not as hard as before. Not totally over the effects of the bone marrow transplant. But it has only been 6 months.
Glad that you are back on the forum to help keep the newbies in line.
