Power FC vs M2 stage 3
Is there any benefit to moving to a power FC from the M2 unit if you don't change anything else (fuel etc)? I know that the M2 might run a bit rich and was wondering is there was any tangible proof that someone had figured out a better map...
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks for the response Jack, but do you have specific examples of the benefits? If I have 310 rwhp now at 13lbs, can I do better with the stock injectors with a well tuned power FC? I do have an upgraded fuel pump, so would your answer change if I changed out the injectors for larger? If so, what kind of numbers would I get???
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

I would think you have a lot to gain even if your tuning skills are not strong PROVIDING you have access to a wideband. What's so difficult about it?
I wouldn't be suprised if you gained an extra 20 hp with some wb adjustments with the PowerFC over M2.

With proper tuning there's probably another 15-20rwhp but "proper tuning" is hard to find. At this point injector duty cycles will start getting high if still running stock injectors. If you want to run larger injectors for more boost/power then you need a PFC.
In addition to the power - the car runs much smoother with the PFC, has built-in monitoring features, and boost control. If you have access to a good tuner, go for the PFC and you won't regret it.
To tune it yourself you need Datalogit and a wide band in addition to the PFC. Not sure how much you want to budget but its an expensive 20hp, IMHO.
There is a learning curve to self tuning that often comes at the expense of a blown motor. Not saying it can't be done because there are people on this forum that have successfully learned how to tune but this is a very small percentage of people.
