Power FC idle problems @ 85C
Hope this isn't too much of a re-hash from other similar topics.
My car idles great until the water temp on the Commander hits 85C. At this point it goes crazy...idle varies from roughly 1500-2200rpm. When I had the ISC deselected it would start at 90C, but now w/ the ISC selected it starts @ 85C. It's like turning on or off a switch.
I didn't know if resetting the Power FC like what was described in other posts would work...letting it idle for 20minutes and then anothe 20 w/ an electrical load b/c my car doesn't have any issues w/ the A/C being on or any problems w/ electrical loads.
Thanks,
Bob

The most common question asked by newbs since the PFC came out.
As you said this is a REHASH^10.

Do a search about idle problems. You have to help the idle to be lowered by reducing air flow at idle.
My notes package should help you.

i was having what sounds like the same problem. It wound up being that my throttle body mechanical settings were all out of whack. I purchased Chuck's notes and he did a very thorough write-up with pics about how to adjust the throttle body. I went through it and it fixed the problem 100%.
Chuck's notes are very convenient to have since it aggregates info and knowledge from different sources to provide a very user friendly way to go about base lining your car and fixing stupid issues like these.
Good luck.
