Power FC Cold start

Hi all

I am new to this forum and i own a 180sx sr20det.

I have recently bought a power fc and had it tuned but i ran into a problem that no body can help me with..

about 2 weeks after the tune the car started to ruff idle, RPM do not play up but the car shakes badly aka vibrates.

this happens on cold start and happend when it was worm.
i took it to a tuner and he sort of made it smooth at idle but still shakes on cold start.

can somebody please help me out, i been asking everybody and no 1 knows why it would have this type of idle on cold start.

it shakes all the way to 70 degres temp and i did try to add more fuel to temp correciton settings but it just makes the idle even ruffer. if i lean it out then the car doesent shake as much.

Please help guys your my last hope

Thank you

Hi Mate

Have you changed the plugs atall as i had this on start up before, changed the plugs and all was fine.

Its a bit of a long shot but if it was running fine for 2 weeks it sounds like you have got something breaking down

hmm

can i just ask, when i cold start the car it first holds map 20 x 20 as i saw in INJ/IGN area and then it drops to 15 x 15 map.

do i just need to go to map 20 and then map 15 and lean em both out abit? and will that efect anything else? cause i actualy tried doing that before and when on cold start pressing acclerator the car barely responds to it.
maybie increase some petrol on throtle respons in temp correction settings?

can somebody please guide me through this as i barely know how to tune a power fc

I've had to lean mine out due to stumbling after a cold start via the Water Temp Correction values. Don't touch the maps.

Have you had the injectors checked out? They may be gummed up and not atomizing well until warm; warm fuel atomizes easier and better.

Ye man
i bought new turbo and all the stuff i listed and then took the car to a tuner, then 2 to 3 weeks later i started getting the ruff idle issues where the car started shaking on worm idle so i took it back and they fixed it but it still shakes some times but now the cold start issue.
