Got my hands on the datalogit but it looks like the cable interface connecting the pc to the ecu is in bad shape, anybody have any recommendations???

 

umm more details as to what aspect is in bad shape? pics preferably.

 

the gray box that connects between the car and the pc, cable runs to it from the car and out the other side to the pc. Plugged it all in and it will not communicate....

 

The PFC and DL use 5 pin mini-din connectors. Only god knows why!!!!
First take the cover off the DL and verify that the connector pins have continuity to where they are soldered to the DL circuit.

My old unit finally failed this test in 2007. Being that I could not find any 5 pin replacement connectors, I used a 6 pin mini din. But the plastic alignment pin is different. I broke it off and replaced the wiring. problem solved.

Or maybe your software is not properly installed and setup.
