pfc serial# meaning & datalogit laptop compatibility question

I am going to buy a pfc with commander and datalogit tommorrow used from someone

and I want to know if I need the newest # of the pfc or something? It's going to be going on a 94 or 95 rx-7 most likely. Can I upgrade the software or what does it mean?

Also I have a laptop that is ~100mhz 16mb ram and I want to know if that can run everything ok? My friend said it's too slow for his dataloging on his tec3 or something

as always thanks for all help

Here is the info. Let me know if there are any problems or your experiences.

The serial # on Power FC is 415-z002
the #on commader is FCC3 010-01402
the # on datalogit is 70113

BTW I know that not many people check this section but I need a very fast reply since I'm going to buy it tommorrow.

your info doesn't not match....

serial for P-FC should be FD3S4 XXXX-XXXX or FD3S2 XXXX-XXXX if you have the Zenki model.

commander serial should be ZG or ZF....(part number 415-z002 or 415-z001)

Snook, the version is what counts.....

The PFC should be version 5.08 and the commander should be version 5.00A or similar. I don't know on the datalogit.

I bought the package tonight guys

I'm not able to find those numbers anywhere on the stuff but I guess it doesn't matter if it's the new one or the old one. It's ~1 year old
