PFC and ingnition

can anyone explain the finer points of tuning an ignition map?
I just ordered my PFC and it's comming from SR untuned so i was going to throw on spyfish's map and fine tune form there on a dyno for 12 PSI.

I'm not sure I understand ignition tuning enough though to get really accurate with my map.

so if someone could explain how to tune for ignition that would be great.

Also how does timing need to be changed for a ported motor vs. a non-ported motor.

Mods are as follows:
street ported motor w/ 2mm seals
N-tech ceramic coated down pipe
full set of unorthodox pulleys
APEXi N1 Dual cat-back

More to come...

Timing is basically retarded as a boost increases regardless of
air flow increase. So timing is basically the same for 12PSI boost
with stock ports or street ports.

Fuel is increased as air flow increases due to boost increase and/or porting increase.

The fuel map cells have a max of 1.496 or 149 (depends where you are reading them). This is 49.6% more fuel than the stock Mazda map had in that cell for the stock engine.

More fuel can be added with the PIM maps. Either by RPM or
by MAP sensor voltage(by boost level). Then you can also fool the
PFC by saying your 850cc injectors are really 800cc and it will
compensate and add even more.
