Yes the PFC controls the fans, you can only adjust the temps with the datalogit

Thanks for the info. Im trying to help the owner out with a ton of small problems he was left with by his engine installer, i cant belive these guys call themselves installers and charge money for the work i have seen. They couldn't even get the car started to get it tuned months ago becouse they didnt tell the pfc the correct injectors that they installed. At its highest temps the fans kick on at 100* c and it needs to be lowered. Thanks again.

Howard, Kyle, and I have pioneered many tuning technics for the PFC, but there are tuners still doing things the old way and missing improvements with PFC.

Why, they do not read forums like this to learn what we have learned over the years. That is why I started selling my tuning notes package. Why should these "professional" idiots make money and not me.

If you do not have access to a datalogit, you can install a S5 water temp switch, this will turn the fans on sooner. You are better off just gettin ahold of a DL and programming it correctly.

Or do the FAN MOD SW and turn them on when you want. This has been around since the original cooling sustem recall.

Since he doesn't have a/c all you have to do is push the a/c button and the fans come on. He it going to St Louis in ? when Steve Kan will be there I just dont want him to burn it or blow it before he gets there. One other question he needs thermostat housing for ast delete, he has a 99 spec witch does not have bolt on relief cap. Will the t11 stat housing fit or does it require a 3rd gen? And thanks again for the help!

There is nothing wrong with running around with the default settings (fans turn on at 100C) until it can be adjusted by Steve. The stock ecu doesn't even turn the fans on until 105C!
