Power FC --OMP Blocked Off?--

My FD was put together and tuned by KDRotary in PA. They installed everything on my FD. Question is why are the OMP nozzles on top of the block modified? By that I mean the vacuum lines are capped off. Why? The clear lines that feed the nozzles are still hooked up, but the vacuum nipples on top of the nozzles are capped off with vacuum caps. Wouldn't that create a problem with the OMP's duty cycle?
Theory/questimation says that the vacum lines were there to open the valves and allow the oil to flow only when the engine was running and a vacuum was present. This was to prevent post shutdown oil drip.
If my memory is correct; there have been comments from owners, that the vacuum is not even needed for the valves to work. Some single turbo engines do not even run vacuum lines to them but still use the MOP.
Why don't you ask KD?
