newbie question

I just got a pfc for my 1994. #414z004. There was no paper with directiona to remove the 4 wires and splice the ac in and out. my question, is this needed on all versions of the fc? In plugged my pfc unit in and it ran fine(after idle search) and the ac worked!!!!!!!

thanks dave

Be nice I'm new at this

What vendor did you purchase it from? Some vendors pull the pins out of the PFC for you (SR Motorsports, Rotary Extreme, etc).

pull the pins out of the stock harnes clips... dont get the shops to pull pins. It voids the warranty i.e. Chuck from Rotary Extreme will gladly pull the pins for you but it'll void the warranty. Just stick a safetypin inside the hole of the clip where the wire needs to come out. It's kinda hard to explain but that's what i did. I just pulled out the pins and put tape over them, so whenever i need to put my stock ecu back in i can just take off the tape and put them back in the clips. No cutting or anything . Hey rynberg were you passing over fremont blvd. overpass a few days ago? And did you go to the q-cup meet yesterday? I saw a red fd i was wondering if it was you or someone else. Mine was the green FD next to the primered integra(if you were there) lol.

You don't get a warranty when you buy a PFC from one of those places anyway. Only PFCs purchased from Power Excel dealers come with warranties.

Nope, that wasn't me.

Sorry but mine comes with warranty. APEX Japan warranty.

APEX USA has to send theirs to Japan to get warranty work done anyway.

The new shop is pretty cool. I can stock more parts than before. If you come down next week around Friday, there will be a surprise. I bought a new project car and it should arrive around next Friday.
