Power FC New PFC install questions
New PFC install questions
Ok, got my FC from SR. I have that hunting idle learning problem. It's been three days now and it still hunts between 500 and 1500 rpm. SR says it can take up to 10 days for this to work it self out. Is this true?
Also, is there any way to get it to stop idling at 2500+ rpm every time you start the car? It even does this when the car is warmed up. It just settles back to the hunting mode a bit faster when the car is warmed up.

10 days, bull-****. Reduce the amount of idle air helps many people.
Doing a search of this forum about this would help you as this is a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry old subject talked to death!

If you want to try something, just back out some idle air with your throttle body adjustments or the bleed screw below the elbow. It seems your PFC is trying to lower the idle but there may be too much idle air for it to control.
I had to disconnect my IAS solenoid and simply adjust idle with the bleed screw. Not sure if my IAS is toast but I just could not tolerate the high idle anymore.
