New pfc install flashing exhaust light?

ok so for starters i havn't searched alot works getting in the way of that lol. just installed new pfc with base mod map. did idle learn, switched o2 feedback & sequential system off as i'm non seq. running 7lbs - no restrictor pills. installed larger intercooler at same time as pfc install. question is when i'm in 1st or 2nd gear & accelerate hard the exhaust overheat light blinks a few times. no pattern & only seems to happen in 1st or 2nd. i have no exhaust sensor as i have full exhaust. ran good last year on stk ecu - no flashing light. i still have the resistors plugged into where i deleted solenoids etc to go richmans non seq. car runs great just noticed light blink aprox 3-5 times. i know this means something is out but where to start? hoping the pfc gurus will jump in & point me in the right direction. oyea car is 1992 jdm fd. thanks

yeah i have the same problem. 92 fd as well, ran fine before the pfc...well pig rich but no exhaust warning light. But from my research so far is that the pfc uses the light to let you know a sensor somewhere is out....but yeah where to start is the question...i was about to start a thread on this too....thanks....i tried to look at the voltage readings on the sensors, kinda hard to do when driving and see if theres an abnormal reading at the sensors......other than that im lost too

i searched abit but still no luck. just curious if the stk oil sensor wire being unplugged would cause this? i replaced stk sensor with other sensor/guage & left stk wire unhooked.

There are two warning lights from the PFC. One is for the knock warning and the other is for injector duty cycle warning. I don't remembered testing any of those so I can't tell you which is which. If it is the same as the SR20 PFC or for other cars, the check engine light blink means exceeding knock threshold and I assume the exhaust light is for injectors threshold (which is set at 70% default).

you have a noisy knock sensor I bet. Go on the PFC and hit the "up" key. That is peak-hold mode and should show your peak knock value. If that is over "60" it will cause that flashing.

thanks for the quick replies. if this turns out to be a knock sensor & is over 60 does this mean time to replace sensor? or am i retarded & need to learn to use a pfc & set it up before i blow it up? my mods are basic bolt on's & i dont really drive the car to the limit = reason for running on base mod map till rebuild & real tune.
