Hey! i just bought a PFC for my 7 that is bone stock....it has the stock map loaded but am i looking at a power increase just by plugging it in or do i have to make some adjustments?
For more power with your stock setup would require running more boost than your stock 10 - 11 psi.
But that would not be too safe as your car is totally stock.
Best to first get an all aluminum larger radiator, larger IC, and a cold air induction system. Then crank the boost up to about 12psi max. I would have the AFRs checked out for that. Parts cost is about $2000.
For more power with actually less strain on the engine: replace the stock precat and cat back with a SS DP, and a better cat-back. Parts cost about $1000.
Then have it tuned by someone, about $300.
Thus for about $3300, you will have a more reliable car with about 330WHP as compared to about 225WHP.
