need timing for turbo - na conversion....don't laugh

Hey guys, i Have a fully built 1990 TII engine. Ceramic housing, power fc, mild street port, etc...... the t04s i was using blew and i need to run the car for the next month or so so i converted it to NA. I have an NA manifold, took out the intercooler etc..... Don't laugh lol its only temporary, But what i need help with is timing. I need to know how much advance to run and where and on NA set up with 8.5 compression. Any input would help out tremendously. Thx guys.

All maps cover from vacuum to boost.

Thus when you run NA, only that part of your previous map will be used.

So how can that be a problem?

But is the base map on the power fc tune off boost. I wouldn't feel to safe running the base maps tuning under vacuum. Does anyone know what he should be running as far as maximum advance, etc... should be so he can make sure the base map is safe..?

if the car was already tuned before the to4s blew, then all he needs to do is DRIVE. the car wont go into boost w/o a turbo. . . so. . . just. . . drive. . .

if the car was NOT tuned before the turbo blew, then he can still just drive w/o too many changes. the major changes come into play when you tuning under boost. since he has a mild streetport. . . id say hed be fine on the regular map. . . check afr's, egt's, and timing split. . .

I reset the car to the base map a while ago. I just don't trust the base maps timing, it seems to advanced for vacuum. I was just wondering what kind of actual numbers i should be running...

Its hard to say as no one really runs 8.5 compression and NA.

What do you call high timming ? 30 ? when cruzing some people ( no boost ) see as high as 38 degrees advance .

I personally had around 34 degrees advance while cruizing without boost.

So if you just want the car for driving around to get to places the stock timming map will be fine.
