NEED HELP - PFC and Dynatek ARC-2
Hi all,
I have just installed the Dynatek ARC-2 on my leading plugs. one box for each plug. Im using the Dynatek 0,5 ohm coils which i was recommended. On the trailing plugs i use the IGN-1A coils with built in igniters.
I wired the ARC-2´s in according to the drawing for "distributorless ignition, 2 coil setup" which means a wired one blue wire to coil positive and one black wire to coil negative from the ARC-2. I have also wired the switched ignition from the OEM igniter connection to the ARC-2´s orange wire. The light green wire from the OEM igniter connector is wired to the ARC-2´s blue/black "signal from ECU".
I set the ARC-2 to "single spark", "falling edge" and "crank" on the dip switches.
When i switch the ignition both boxes light up (the small LED on the side). But when i crank, i dont get any spark. I have checked all the ground connections and they are good.
After that, i tested the trailing coils (AEM smart coils) and they gave no spark either.
It seems like i have another problem than just my wiring. Maybe i have some grounding problem in the main harness?
Have anyone else tried this combination, Dynatek ARC-2 and Apexi PFC? How can i make sure i get the trigger signal from the ECU? What else can i check? Anyone have any input on this?
I would be very happy for some comments! Attached is a description of how my wires are connected. This is in a single turbo fd3s from 1995 using PFC as management system.
Best regards!

Ive solved the problem. I re-installed the OEM igniter and took the signal to the ARC-2 from the Green/black wire coming out from the igniter. Set the ARC-2 switches to "single spark", "falling edge" and "crank". Seems like the 5V rising edge trigger signal coming from the ECU was too low. Attached is a simple description of how i did.
