Talking My PFC Commander Holder

A little something I whipped together using some scrap aluminum I had laying around.

No visible mounting hardware and does not
obstruct passenger leg position.

It's a one off that took me through
3 prototypes and about 12 hours of labor.

Want to see more pics send me a PM

Talking Pretty Nice!

Nice Job! I like the aluminum look too.

I went out and bought a Bell Magnetic Phone Holder that plugs into the cigarette lighter and has a 6" extension piece that can be pivoted in any which way.

Supposedly the thing doesn't mess with the LCD screen but I haven't tried it yet. It also comes with an additional sticky back magnet to attach to the "Commander" itself. We'll see how it works.

If it sucks I'll just have to steal your idea!

Thumbs up Yup...It works Great!

Okay, Just threw in the Bell Magnetic Cell Phone holder and it works perfect. The fit is like the holder was made specifically for the Commander.

I used some double sided 3M to stick the magnet that came with it onto the back of the commander. The magnet itself has an adhesive backing but isn't that great.

Powerful enough that the commander won't come loose, that's for sure. About 25% of it sits behind the steering wheel though. I'll try and get some digital pics soon.

$9.95 at K-Mart.

I know your anxious to start producing those. If not you've got to give us dimensions, and instructions that we can take to our local machine shop.

Gennimens,
Thanks for the postive feedback.
As for the GroupBuy...it's a nice though but I
don't think my skills are up to making a run of these things
I did make a cardboard
templates before beginning with the actual
metalwork but they were on a rough start as
I made many minor tweaks to the shape and design as I went so I doubt they would be of much use to any real metal shop/fabricator.
For a bit more info and more pics I threw up
a page on my site. Take a looksee if you
are interested.
