Moved air temp sensor ramifications?

I moved my air temp sensor to near the outlet of my intercooler as several others have posted. I do notice that it reads lower than the stock location due to factors discussed on previous posts, unfortunatly I did not document just how much. It seems enough to affect the relationships for Inj vs Air Temp (settings 2) and Ign. vs Air Temp (settings 4) . The temps would lower for the same conditions when the PFC settings were set-up using the stock sensor location. Hence it would seem we would want to adjust those settings to compensate. My question is what have others done or would recommend?

When moving the ATS to a cooler position such as the IC outlet, any "AIR TEMP vs. ?" table should have it's air temp values decreased by the difference between the old temp and new temp. The "AIR TEMP vs. INJ" is one table where you can not change the value of the air temp. Thus you engine will now run a little richer. You can figure this out and adjust the INJ side of the table instead.

These types of adjustments require a DATALOGIT!

I set my air temps down by 10 degrees since my new position runs about 10 degrees cooler with my large FMIC.

Chuck,

I assume you mean 10 degrees C. My difference is probably similar, maybe not quite as much as your front mount IC, I am using a M2 Med SMIC. Thanks for the input.

Yes C as that is what the PFC uses. That was the difference with normal city driving.
