Exclamation leftover crap from install....

i have a 93 touring and just switched to the PFC today
upon install i came up with an extra ground wire, and a male clip connector both leading to a little black box that says
CONTROL UNIT
W3Z1 18 701
SC22A
Naldec 10706 40

any ideas what the hell it is??
cruise control unit maybe??

anyways....what the hell do i do with it??

thanks

I believe that is the fan relay recall the dealer was supposed to do. LEAVE IT IN, and go find an on/off switch for 89cents at Radio shack, hook the ground wire you see to the switch, get another wire and hook it from the switch to a grounding point on your chassis and VOILA! you have yourself the fan mod.

Even if you don't want to do the fan mod, not sure why you wouldn't, you need to leave the relay in.

?

The relay should be on the other side of the harness connector wired into the harness, and the wire from the relay should be just a wire hanging out with nothing on the other end.
