Ive seen a few people post pictures of their commanders displaying knock reading as numbers, mine displays only a horizontal sliding bar in 8channel monitor or a vertical sliding bar or graph in 1 channel. How do you get number display instead?

 

the peak/hold mode displays it. press one of the arrow buttons... up button? right button?

 

You need to start REALLY using/learning your Commander.

With the manual - "Plug -N - Play" and LEARN.
