Just got my PFC & Commander!!!
Okay everyone, I need your help. I just received my Power FC and I need to clarify something before I screw this thing up. I understand that I need to cut 4 wires out but I'd rather pull the pins out of the Power FC unit so I can go back to stock ECU if needed to pass smog. By looking at the picture below (which I took with the diagram from Apex'i directly on top of the PFC unit), can you tell me if I should simply pull the 4 pins out of the PFC with a long nose plier equivalent to those in the diagram??? I know this has been asked many times but some people say the diagram is that of the factory harness instead of the ecu and some say it's a mirror diagram of what it actually is. So for those of you who have actually pulled the pins, can you please let me know if what I'm about to do is correct...any comments or advices would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

Rather than pull (or rather, cut) the pins out of the PFC unit I managed to use a small jeweler's screw driver to carefully open up the ecu harness connector and remove the pins from there. I definitely would not cut the harness wires either, since that damn thing is worth about a 1000 bucks.

Obviously, this procedure is a little difficult to explain in words but I didn't have a chance to take any actual pictures. It took some time to figure it out (hard to get my head in there to see what was going on) but it was worth it for me not to have to damage the harness or the PFC. Just make sure you use a REALLY small screwdriver or some sort of pick tool that will fit into the connector hole.

okay everyone...thanks for all your help. What I ended up doing was simply pull out those 4 pins from the ecu with a long nose plier and damn...my car is a totally different car now! I still need to read up more in order to read or tune this thing right....
