JDM Power FC

A few questions and I know I saw posts about it before but I can't find them through the search function anymore. First does the PFC use the IACV? If I remember thats one of the wires that is suppose to be cut. Second do you need to cut wires on the JDM PFC's? I know this has been debated but I couldn't find a definite answer since I believe there were two models of the PFC made for the FD. An "A" model and one without.
