Installed New PFC Today

I was very leery after reading the many posts of hunting idle, partial or no AC etc. Went thru the install and idle learning process described in this forum sticky and ...wahoo!!! Idles perfect! AC on every speed. Runs perfect. Now the WB install and some tuning.

Thats good to hear. The problem with reading stuff on a forum most the people that talk are the ones that have problems. The people that everything worked fine for, like you, rarely post because they don't need any questions answered. All this causes everything to look/sound worse than it really is.

I am surprised about what you were saying above.
Can you briefly describe what the problems associated with the Power Fc and the AC? Also the idle problem please. I am definitely going to do a search and check that thread out. I didn’t think the Power Fc had any problems at all. Thanks

Well, like I said, I had zero problems with my PFC install. I observed virtually no difference in the vehicles operation using the PFC in place of the stock ICU except the elimination of the occasional 3K hesitation. If you search the forum you'll find many complaints about idle, AC and other issues.

I followed Dales installation instructions and my speculation is that many people skip the idle speed screw (ISC) adjustment step. I didn't. The AC issues are well documented and I believe there is consensus of opinion (again, search) on how to fix if your installation results in an issue.

Just to be clear, I've have not read any posts where these issues weren't eventually sorted out or where the poster was dumping their PFC because they couldn't get this stuff rectified. I was just prepared for a lot of sorting out that I'm pleased to say I don't have to do.
