Why are you doing this, just to test it out?
Maybe your PFC is already at factory.

Did you even think of keying in changes all over the different tables, checking to insure it took, then try to initialize it?

Show us some mental abilities!

i'm doing it because i got the pfc second hand and want to start at default for the idle learn and everything. i guess i was expecting when i go to initialize "yes" and cycle the key on and off the unit would say "inititializing....." or somthing. is that not the case? does it just silently return to factory? i realize these are very basic questions, but i havent been able to play with the pfc much since i installed it i havent had much access to the car and pfc. also the manuals i have found online really suck.

If you had a datalogit, you could compare the map to the base mod map.

You'll know if you've set the PFC to its initial settings because when you fire it up, it'll start the idle learning process.
