inconsistant a/f ratios at wot

I noticed that im getting some inconsistant a/f ratios when at full boost going through the rpms. I think my a/f meter might be going out. One run would show an average of 10:1 and the next run could bottom out at 7.4:1. Running 550/1600 on non seq setup.

I doubt your wb is accurate below 10:1, perhaps so but unlikely. If it's healthy and setup right you are probably rich as hell, have very low knock, and are experiencing ignition breakup past 6500rpm under boost above 14 psi.

What are your cruise and idle AFRs and are they consistent during a rock steady idle or while cruising in one cell on the PFC (constant speed on level highway; ya know, constant rpm and manifold pressure).

I've been running a Techedge for a couple of years or more. I have noticed on occasion after a series of wot runs my logged AFRs start to get a little out of whack. Seems they start to read way too high. This does not occur on the first couple of runs, but if it happens it is on a 3rd or later run. Each run usually has 2 or 3 consecutive wot bursts with a few minutes of shut down to tune the maps between each run. I suspect either the sensor is heating up or going bad.

ok figured it out, besides running rich as hell im also overheating the damn sensor. I'll be putting a heat sink on it to see if it fixes the problem.

Yep, over heat problem or just a failing sensor. I have the LM-1 also.

Mine currently reads 6.5:1 haha. I need to pick up the heat sink. The other thing that will take out the sensor is condensation. I went through 2 sensors before I firgured that one out.

If its not one thing its another.
