Idle O2 readings

This is rather strange...
Last week my 02 readings at idle were .01 ish
Now they are at a solid .82

What is the deal here?
Has anyone else had this problem?

I can only think of a few things that MIGHT affect it (thou i'm just guessing)
O2 sensor going to ****?
Hose in catch tank under the TB kinked? (gotta get new hose cuz mine is kinked).

Any other suggestions? I tried lowering the INJ in that cel all the way down to 100 and it's STILL .82. WTF?!?!?

Air pump not working.
Problems with the air control valve mechanism or it's control solenoids.

Yes it does. Besides pumping air into the cat, the airpump also pumps air into the intake to clean things up. If you think about it, the o2 sensor is mounted before the cat. So the fact that the airpump effects your o2 readings at idle goes to show that a cat has nothing to do with the readings.

The O2 readings should be rich at idle. That's how it is when stock. So your 0.01 reading is the one that is out of whack.

Unless someone has actually checked this on a disassembled engine, the service manual shows the airpump going to the exhaust port (among other places), not the intake.

The airpump or the ACV or solenoids are probably still the source of your problem.

The rotary engine needs a rich idle to run smoothly. This causes the O2 sensor to put out a high voltage as if the engine was under a heavy load. To correct this, the air pump and ACV directs air into the exhaust manifold thus supplying more oxygen to the O2 sensor. This tricks the O2 sensor to think it is operating within the norm. The ecu then does it's thing to keep this false relationship constant.

The ACV also directs air to the cat and dumps excess air back thru the "mooo-fart" pipe.

My idle O2 voltage is .03.
