Just thought I'd post this to save people the trouble. The AEM UEGO is garbage everyone stop wasting your time and get a Innovative, Tech edge, FJO, PLX or other recommended wide band. I have been struggling with the AEM for a while now on a customer's RX7 and I hate it. I've been searching all over for tips and fixes for issues and none of them seem to work I;ve seen like 4 different polys and people putting grounds everywhere running wires to the battery and all sorts of nonsense. I had an innovate LC1 on my car took about 15min to install and setup and always worked great.

My AEM sucked ***. I had a bad display. I called up tech support, finally convinced them to let me send the unit in, and what do they do--they send it back to me, still not working! I talked to the customer service people finally and demanded a new gauge, and after a 6 week ordeal I finally got it. I ended up selling it right soon after I got it working pretty much.
As far as the 0-5v output, I never bothered with it. But on my friend's Vr-4 we used the 0-5v output on his AEM UEGO and it never agreed 100% of the time with the display on the ECU he was running. Based on the widely varying opinions on this unit, I can only conclude that there must be inconsistent manufacturing qualty or inconsistent ways that we are all using to measure accuracy.
I've never used PLX, FJO, etc but I disagree that the Innovate is easy to install, atleast compared to the AEM. The Innovate can be flaky if you don't hook up the ground wires in a certain way. Plus you need to understand how their modular tuning system concept works to be able to get everything configured properly with a display gauge. The designers also decided to make the Innovate more prone to throwing error codes based on heat, lead buildup, etc. That makes it more accurate but also more tempermental.

i never used an AEM wideband, i have the lc1 and i like it alot.
but i did buy the AEM plug and play ECU. it would never even fire the car up. I screwed with it for days and talked to tech support , then they said to sent it to them. they said something was wrong with it, and supposedly sent me another one though i wonder if it was the same one, and it did the same thing. I sent it back and got my money back. Thats the only experience i had with AEM and it wasnt very good.

I had the same issues with the AEM I got for my 240sx. Tried 3 different EMS' from AEM and none would even run the car. Plugged in a PFC and it fired right up and never had any issues. I think I'll save myself the trouble when it comes to my FD and go PFC again
if the white wire is the wideband output then yes you hook that to an1. To offset grounds you can also run a ground wire from an2 to the system ground on the AEM unit. Then use the delta AN1/An2 setting.
