I just want to share this with other that don't have want to get a commander holder.
I found this holder at Bestbuy for $12. It is one of the ipod holder for the car that only clip it to the ac vent.

I have only been using the holder for one day, so far so good. I didn't have any annoying rattle or commander falling out.

looks good, have you done some pretty hard launches yet whith it?... just to make sure it wont fly out

 

I was thing of using something of that nature...even one of those cell phone holder things might work.

 

I bought one of those AC clip-ons for my Commander a couple of years ago at a Radio Shack. Although it slides from side-to-side within the vent, it works great. The sides are adjustable, so the Commander won't fly out.
Another good idea is to buy one of those replaceable screen shields to protect the screen from sratches. Also helps to reduce glare. Just cut to fit.

 

Sweet! I'm gonna go look for that at best buy.

 

I did couple of hard launches, and it stays. I didn't get any glares from the screen.

I think the Bell cell phone holder from K-Mart is better. For $12 it sits eye level with the guages and mounts into your cig. lighter.

Down here in the blazing heat of N.O. we need all the A/C vents we can get.
