How To E-mail Maps Instructions
Lately a few of you have been having problems with your map DAT files that were sent to you from your tuners. Long ago I noticed that map attachments can be corrupted by various e-mail providers or virus scanners. My YAHOO does it all the time when it receives one.
That is why I always ZIP any I send. Renaming the DAT file extension to DOC or TXT also works sometimes, but the ZIPed always works.
Help educate the uninformed about this and we all will have a less stressful life.
Especially inform your tuners when they send you one that you lost.
