Service as in tune with the Excel software? AFAIK there are only two shops liscensed to do it, XS Engineering in LA and err some other shop on the east coast. None anywhere near Ohio. If you mean it's broken, I'd bet you need to send it to Apex in Japan.

Yeah, I was looking at how I might get my FD fine tuned if I bought an Apexi ecu.....My mechanical knowledge is limited so I don't want to mess around w/ things too much myself....from what i've read i guess the aftermarket ecu's come "tuned" to your make and model but tuning it for your particular vehicle may take some additional tweeking which i wouldn't be comfortable doing myself............thanks for your info..........do you think i would still be better off with a "factory tuned" apexi as compared to the oem ecu...........my current mods are: PFS intercooler, PFS induction and PFS catback & turbo gauge..........

Actually all you need to do is go to a specialized RX-7 tuner like KD Rotary in Nazereth PA. Dave has a dyno and does Stand alone ECU installs all the time. He also has a great reputation.

The main theme here is finding a shop, how about from another angle.. Is there one shop that is better than another? I have heard good and bad about different places and I am just getting into tuning cars here in the states. I have heard pro's and con's for XS. Are there other places to go to, or other places that come recommended?

I'm not sure where Concord Ohio is, BUT, we have two dyno days scheduled VERY soon here in Columbus!!! Like this week! Friday evening 6pm till midnight, then again all day Saturday, probably 11am - 6pm.

Even if you car isn't ready to be tuned you should come up and meet us... a couple of us will be in the 400 - 500+ rwhp range!

Most of us are running the PowerFC and we can tune your car...

If you think you can make it, PM me!
