how accurate is the knock reading on the power fc?

Just wondering how acurate it is....

sometimes i see readings of 196 or 152 while other times it's extremeley low....

My AFR is tuned at 10.8 to 1 so it's super rich, what do you guys think?

The knock sensor is simply a piezoelectric microphone mounted in the block. If the wiring or mic are loose or bad, you will get higher knock readings.

Also, you have to really look at when you are getting the high readings. Many people get very high levels of "knock" when they shift or let off the throttle. If you are getting levels that high under constant WOT, then something is wrong -- either with your knock sensor or your tuning/engine.

rynberg summed it up pretty good. i'd see over 100 on the commander, and only 30 on the datalogit. so i dont know what the deal is. kinda weird. anyone have any suggestions?
