Help needed adjusting power fc(newbie)

Ive searched around a good bit i got some anwsers i was looking for but most other threads i found are just to much and confusing..

Main reason i started this thread:

Me and a fellow member just swapped in stock 850 injectosr with modified rail for my primarys.. he got everything to idle decent at a decent a/f ratio(13.4). This was all at idle, and at cool temps. Now it just doesnt seem to idle quite right. and then the fans kick on it idles horrible. I literally am clueless when it comes to tuning or anything of that nature, However i know he did changed the 550 setting to 850 setting.. what other settings do i have to change?

a picture of the power fc maps/setting would be awesome and a great help

not looking to tuned it perfect just enough for me to drive safetly to get tuned..or is this way over my head and i should just get it towed to speed1

thanks

You're in over your head. Put the 550's back and take it somewhere.

850 primaries are an "oldschool" mod used back when injector options were more limited. They do not play nice with the Power FC. They can be made to work, but everything is a needless uphill climb.

There's really no good reason any FD should run 850 primaries now. Just because people have made them work in the past doesn't mean they are a good decision now. Even if you take it to someone very experienced with them, physics is physics. They were never designed to be run in the primary position, and they especially don't work well with the PFC due to certain limitations.

Why are you doing this anyway? What are your mods?

Yes, 850 in the primaries are sort of an hassle to tune with mainly just because they are horrible at idle. My last setup i was using 850's in my primary and it had absolutely no problems, but that was because Karack tuned the car for me. It's easier just to run 1300cc in the secondary.

good point, i already have a very basic setup, i dont want to complicant it.

great advice thanks guys,

mods are single turbo gt35r bb, 1300cc sec, walboro fp, big intercooler, everything blocked off, im shooting for 15-17psi 400+whp i just hope the 1300s are enough

also when i change the power fc back to 550, will it change back everything we tried to adjust to get it to idle right?

you need top feed secondary rails and at least 1600cc secondary injectors.

Save up your money until you can afford it
