So i bought a datalogit white off a member on here and i am trying to get it to hookup to my computer (windows 8) and it will not connect no matter what i do...

I also dont have an option to select the color of box i have just beige and black.. anyone have any insight to this or did i just waste my money? haha

 

which version of FCEdit are you using? in your device manager does your adaptor have the com port listed?

and not from what i can tell. in order for it to show which com port would the device need to be plugged in? this could be my problem for it not showing right at the moment.

 

Since most new computers do not have a serial port, you need the
IOGEAR - GUC232A - USB to Serial RS-232 Adapter adapter.

You can run either the universal or original FD3S software with the beige box.
I use the universal 2.130 software for logging as it is faster and easier, but prefer the FD3S 1.120for editing the map.

 

Thanks I do have a USB adapter right now that I'm using. I assume its the same idea or does it need to be this one ?

 

You have a USB adapter and it is not working with the DL box.
