OKAY I'M ABOUT TO BLOW UP MY FU#$#^% CAR!!!
here is the problem. i just started my car for the first time with my brand new pfc and when it gets warmed up it won't idle and shoots flames. i let it idle to "learn" and it idles extremely ruff and sputters. the only problem that i know i have is the omp is not working right. it is saying 0.93-0.95 volts. i have a cold air intake, down pipe, catback, and non-seq. i have changed the pfc to non-seq but i have not touched any of the maps. someone pleeeaaase help i'm going insane!

 

did you remove the 4-pins that you are supposed to?

 

i clipped the wires. do i need to remove the pins also?

 

No, but how does it idle if you put the stock ecu back in??

You need to give the PFC about 15 minutes of idle time to learn.

You have the stock injectors? Any other mods you're leaving out? Don't care about the frilly appearence mods. Where did you purchase it from? Was it supposed to have a tuned map on it 'cause you bought it that way?

 

nope that's all my mods and yes i did let it "learn" that's why i'm so confused. i bought it from the rx7store so it should just be base maps with no mods to them.

 

Describe the wires / directions / how you clipped the wires. You clipped them on the harness...and you figured out which wires to clip from looking at the plug on the ECU, right?

 

The pfc may need more time to learn to idle it may need a week of driving time to learn ,but the settings also need to be close to correct, go in there try some ajustments, copy some ones maps. be sure you cut the correct wires. when you make adjustments be carefulll go a little at a time .

 

thanks for the help guys. i think that i might have gotten the injector pluggs switched for the primaries do you think that this could be my problem?

 

You changed injectors? You had the UIM off? No where do I see mention that you just did major (PIA) work on your car. It seemed to me that you just pluged in the PFC and it would not run right.

How does the car run with the STOCK ECU?!
