does anyone have the web link for XS? Also does anyone happen to know how much for them to tune an ECU if you send it in?

Personally I wouldn't ever have someone tune my PFC by mail.. Too many factors that could contribute to running excessively lean or rich.

I have some pretty good maps that will work. They were tuned on the street with a wideband. Although every car is different and the best way is get it on a dyno.

If I was in the southern part of the country I would take it to Steve Kan at Gotham Racing.

Ditto.

He's who's doin my motor right now, and as soon as he's done, we'll see what he can do with a new motor.

He tuned my last one which rocked. Got tuned @ 10 pm one night raining... Although a couple times losing traction @ 90 mph in 3rd gear got kinda scary.

It was faster than ever, can't wait what to see what he can do when I have a non ~80k motor.

I would also like to know who does good tuning around the NE. I was thinking about going to KD rotary, but they are hard to get ahold of. So I am considering SPI. Anyone have any experiance with them? Sorry to get off your topic.

I am using a map from Jeff48 since we have basical identical setups. I'm happy with that map, but I'm still pegged at <=10.5 at WOT. Jason, is your map listed under the map section?

Not yet. Steve has tuned me on the street with datalogit and wideband and I was very happy with the results. If you can find a nice safe stretch of road, I feel that tuning on the street is advantageous to a dyno.

I hope these are not maps from cars I have tuned for you Jason. They will pop a car/engine that does not match up pretty closely. Each car is unique. If one of those maps is sent out, you better push about 15% more fuel into the PIMs to make it generic enough not to pop....which means that they not tuned maps at that point...more or less back to a basemap.

Edited out the wrong quote.

Tony

The map weaklink is talking about from me is my proprietary base map. The basemap has been recalculated to the rich side. Weaklink was also warned that he needs to verify the afrs before trusting the maps.

Everybody

I want to reiterate what Tony just said
plugging in a map that is car specific is asking for trouble regardless of the closeness of the bolt on mods. Subtle differences in fuel flow or pressure can and will be catestrophic. In the end it is your engine and your money. Tuning is a painstakingly slow process that can only be accurate if you know what is going on or hire someone who does.

I personally do not tune other people's cars for any number of reasons. Tony does tune cars and does a damn fine job too----> be smart --listen to him!

Jeff,

I hope I was not out of line for mentioning your maps. I only did so since they are posted in the maps section. I agree entirely with what you and Tony have both said. That being said, for me and for many others, shared maps (with caveats) are our best places to start. I am 3 hours from the nearest "tuner". I have a functioning WB 02 monitor. I watch the PFC for knock. Prior to running your "maps," I was relying on the base APEXi map. How's that for unreliable? Now that I have something to work with, I can learn faster. Thanks again Jeff, and again I hope that I have not offended you by mentioning you here. Share information freely, use it responsibly.

The best person to get a PFC tune with Datalogit that I could recommend to you is Boostn7, try giving him a PM, he DEFINATELY knows his tuning with the PFC, he's really good.
