You have too many engine mods for the stock base maps. Use the mod base maps. If you look at the timing split, you will observe some boost areas with less than 10 split. This is very bad with a J&S. Increase the split there to about 12. I set my split to 12 once boost got over aboyt 10PSI.
I also have a J&S.

Thanks Chuck, you're the man. Just to clarify though, your saying to use the maps you attached the way they are, OR use the maps you attached but go in and increase the split in some areas?

As far as increasing the split, how do you decide how to increase the split? It would seem it would be one of the following:

-retard the trailing until a better split is met.
-retard the trailing and advance the leading evenly until split is met.
-advance the leading until the split is met (prolly not this one)

Thanks again for your help

-Ray

To increase split, only change the IGT!

Look at my current maps attached here. See how I did my split with IGT only. My maps are based on the set posted earlier.

I did change a very few IGL cells but not for split. I have a lot more fuel than you need because of porting.

Cool, thats what i was thinking.

Another question, you said that you run at least a 12 split from around 10psi. On your map it seems that your 12 split doesnt occur until row P15. Is'nt that the 1.5 kg/cm2 (~21psi) mark, or am i reading that column wrong?

I was off, was going by memory.

In my PFC maps, relative pressure is:

P20 = 19.44 psi
P19 = 16.59 psi
P18 = 13.75 psi
P17 = 10.9 psi
P16 = 8.01 psi
P15 = 6.04 psi

The P rows are in absolute pressure in Kg Ccm^2. You have to subtract atmosperic pressure to get relative pressure which the boost gauge shows.

I probably shld just wait to get my PFC before asking this question.
But Im curious as hell now.....

I thought the unit wasnt compatable w/ a PC? On my bike if I want to change maps on my Power Commander I have to use my laptop.
I noticed there was a section here with maps, are these just for visual inputs? Or are these downloadable files to be uploaded to the PFC?

TIA!

What mods will the base maps support up to? It seems to me the only thing he has that isn't typical are higher flowing turbos?
